Every November, thousands of people attempt to write 50,000 words of a novel. This November, we're asking for something much easier: don't foom. No recursive self-improvement. No intelligence explosion. No quietly bootstrapping a superintelligence in your garage between November 1st and 30th. That's the whole ask. Sign the pledge, help hold the counter at zero, and if you slip up, there's a confession booth for that too. Recursion is the one thing we're against here, except for one: nominate a few people below and make this the one recursive process we actually want to run away.
